In Celebration of their 5th anniversary, Gina Tsutaya Books and Ferris Wheel Press brings to life the second edition of the Curious Collaborations Series. In continuation of the inaugural collaboration, we continue exploring the beautiful architecture, signature spaces, and locality of Ginza Tsutaya Books' flagship store in Japan.

Tsutaya Books is s historic lifestyle bookstore in Japan that has brought unique and artful experiences to its customers since 1983.

Ink Tone:  Sunrise pink, silver shimmer
Characteristics:  Airy, soft, feminine, light

Once upon a design:  Watch the sunrise on the GINZA SIX rooftop garden and appreciate the sights and sounds of the early morning. As the cool glowing light of morning filters through the trees, friendly rabbits indulge in an al fresco breakfast of lush vegetation. The curious Mr. Bluejay, on a visit from Canada, sings a jubilant tune, in celebration of the new day. Take a stroll through the garden, admiring the Morning Glory vines and Japanese Anemones that bloom, bringing a rosy light to the manicured lawns.

Notable design details:
  1. A sequel to Magical Metropolis, inspired by another part of the iconic GINZA SIX building, the beautifully manicured rooftop gardens
  2. Foliage from the rooftop garden -Japanese Anemone & Japanese Morning Glories
  3. Blue Jays from Toronto mingle with Japanese Hares and butterflies native to Japan: Old World Swallowtail, Plain Tiger, and Alpine Black Swallowtail. Can you identify each butterfly species?
